What Is the Churchill Fellowship?

The Churchill Fellowship is a UK charity which supports individual UK citizens to follow their passion for change, through learning from the world and bringing that knowledge back to the UK. The Churchill Fellowship provides successful applicants a grant to research a topic of their choosing with an option to study online or travel.
Together our community of Churchill Fellows use their international learning to lead the change they wish to see across every area of UK life. We were founded by public donation in 1965 as the living legacy of Sir Winston Churchill for the nation.

It's my belief that everyone deserves access to greenspace. Living in the city doesn't mean that you should not be connected to nature. My Churchill Fellowship research trip took me to Milan, Barcelona, Singapore, Hong Kong & China studying urban greenspace and the positives and negatives of eco-tourism
The Mission: How Do We make our towns & cities greener?
The Goal
My Churchill Fellowship Research trip last 4.5 months and whilst travelling I collected tonnes of data, images, video and other content. What is the goal?
1) Influence policy to ensure urban greening is implemented into our towns and cities.#
2) Educate the general public on what urban greening is and how it can positively impact their lives.
3) Liaise with developers/housing associations to reach out to local communities & deliver access to greenspace
4) Consult with horticultural organizations to help them build green corridors & lead the charge to improving access to greenspace in urban areas
Accessing The Research
As well as working with local authorities, developers, housing associations & other organizations, I'll be sharing as much of my research as possible with the general public though written reports via my mailing list. I'll also be creating video content across Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn & Facebook.
